Welcome to Wenzloff & Sons

Please note Wenzloff & Sons will be increasing prices effective September 1, 2015. It's been quite a while since we have increased our prices and unfortunately our materials suppliers have continued to do so over this same period.

We began making saws for the public in 2005. Since then we have made thousands of saws for woodworkers whether they are new to the craft or seasoned makers.

We invite you to peruse our offerings and to enjoy the articles on this site as we have time to publish them.

Newest Offerings: Disston model saws

E-mail Print PDF

Large Model 77 tenon saw

We finally have gotten around to adding Disston-pattern saws to inventory. It's been a longer wait than I communicated to people requesting them. Originally planned for before Christmas of 2014, they have finally been finished off. There are hand and panel saws (toothing to your specs), large and small #77s, dovetail and carcass saws to choose from. While supplies last and, of course, these are shipped in the order the orders are received.

All found within the Disston section.

Disston Model 77 14" length

Wenzloff & Sons is pleased to announce that the Disston Model 77 14" Back Saw is ready for sale.

14 inch Model 77

What's so special about the Model 77? Disston made this saw with a taper-ground saw plate and so is made to run with no set. Our remake also has a taper-ground saw plate and is made to be used without set to the teeth. You can read more about the saw on its product page found under the Disston menu to the left.

We will be updating the stock level later today.

Until the stock level is updated, you may opt to click on the Notify Me button and fill out your correct email address. Then, once the stock level is updated, the system will send out a notification there is stock to purchase.

This is a smaller batch to introduce this 14" length. This smaller batch uses 15 ppi at the toe blending into a nominal 12 ppi. For this batch of 12 we have chosen to use Panamanian Rosewood. It is a great wood and getting rare to find.

Mahogany-Handled Kenyons

E-mail Print PDF

We made these Kenyon 26" handsaws back when we made the Mahogany Disston Model 77s and have decided to post them for sale.

There is a reason why Mahogany was the Cabinet Maker's wood of choice. It is a luscious wood to work and the velvet feel is quite nice in the hand.

We also have the other Seaton Chest saws handled in Mahogany and will be posting them in the coming weeks. Stock is a first-come, first-served basis.
